Financial Reporting Specialist

An Edmonton client is searching for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team.

Financial Reporting Analyst Highlights:

Utilize data analytics for creating queries and generating standard reports for period-end reporting.

Handle the consolidation of M&A activities and month-end financial processes.

Engage in cross-training with two Managers for external statements and another Manager on external reporting.

Drive process improvement initiatives, including transitioning the cash flow statement process from Excel to Oracle..

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in professional accounting, including substantial experience in external reporting for public companies.

Professional certifications: CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA.

Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Experience in MS Excel, Power BI, Oracle Business Intelligence, and Adaptive Insight is essential.

Analytical skills with a proven ability to handle complex data sets and transform financial data into insightful reports.

Communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with multiple stakeholders and reporting teams.

Ability in leading projects and initiatives that improve financial processes and systems.
