Job description

Performs a variety of human resources functions. Provides administrative and technical human resource assistance to the HR department. Deals with Company policies and benefits. Solves routine problems, participates in employee relations and maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work and sensitive personnel information.

· Hours 9am to 5.30 PM Monday to Friday

· Starting pay rate: $18/hr

· Location: Hazleton

· Resume required to set up interview

Responsibilities:

Is punctual, on time, and adheres to company attendance policies. Responsible for all payroll functions at location;

Processes all paperwork required for new hires as, Background checks and I-9 Requirements

Assists with processing of terminations;

Maintains and updates the personal documentation

Supports some safety functions

Maintains employee personnel files in compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Assists with communicating vacation and paid time off programs, wage and hour information, and other policies impacting employees.

Maintains attendance records

Interacts with employees in explaining payroll processes, updates and problem solving in the event of errors.

Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.

Has the ability to function under highly stressful conditions and interact cordially with co-workers to accomplish tasks.

Plans and coordinates employee events on site as well as annual activities

Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

College degree or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Bi-Lingual English-Spanish

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
