Position Available for Recreation Therapist (Art)

Recreation Therapist (Art) -Hiring – 8 Hour Shift available – 8AM-4:30 PM

As a Recreation Therapist (Art), you would plan and conduct art directives and provide skill-based activities for an adult psychiatric inpatient population including assisting individuals to improve independent functioning and move forward in their recovery. As a treatment team member, you will participate in team meetings, recreation/leisure assessment, and evaluation. Paperwork includes initial/yearly assessments, group notes and weekly/monthly comprehensive notes. In addition, you will be required to requisition, store, and maintain equipment and supplies.

As a Recreation Therapist (Art), you work in the creative art therapies, providing programs in art to achieve a therapeutic aim. The goal of each program is to bring about positive change in a client's/patient's mental, physical, and/or social behavior.

LCAT supervision is available.

Minimum Requirements:

For No. 20-562 Recreation Therapist (Art):

Either 1. a bachelor's degree with a concentration or major in Art Therapy;

Or 2. a bachelor's degree in Creative Arts Therapy** with a concentration in art;

Or 3. a bachelor's degree in Art, Art Education, or Fine Arts AND one year of experience in planning and administering an art therapy program

Or 4. registration with the American Art Therapy Association as an Art Therapist.

Salary range $50,678 to $64,693 with an additional annual $3,400 location payCompany Description
