Great opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal, who has experience handling personal injury cases, to join a law firm in their Bridgeport, CT office on a full-time, direct hire basis.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Assists attorney by communicating directly to all involved parties in a timely manner, investigates facts, conducts research, obtains supporting documentation, and provides paralegal support through all phases of litigation.

Gathers information and documents necessary for expediting claims handling and settlements.

Obtains, tracks, reviews, and analyzes explanations of benefits, medical invoices, statements, payments, and adjustments.

Obtains lost wage documentation.

Managing all case materials, including all electronic files and database applications.

Obtaining from, or filing materials with courts and agencies.

Tracking the course of information and case materials.

Trial preparation and support.

Drafts Settlement documents.

Qualifications: 5+ years of experience handling the paralegal responsibilities of personal injury litigation matters.

Experience handling a case from inception through trial.

Able to handle all discovery, subpoena drafting, motion drafting, short calendar, and trial and arbitration binder preparation.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Case Management Systems, such as Filevine, Needles, etc.

Excellent interpersonal, time management, and project development skills.

All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
