Overview:

The Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in our organization by providing on-site maintenance, repair, and installation services for our products. Their work directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall success of our business. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and exceptional customer service are essential in this role.Key Responsibilities:

Travel to customer locations to install, maintain, or repair equipment

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions

Perform routine maintenance and follow scheduled service plans

Document service activities, including parts used and work performed

Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues

Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance best practices

Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times

Assist in the development of service procedures and documentation

Provide feedback to improve product performance and service efficiency

Ensure timely response to service requests and maintain service records

Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends

Manage and prioritize assigned service calls efficiently

Maintain inventory of service parts and tools

Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for service contracts

Support product testing and validation activities in the fieldRequired Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree is a plus

Proven experience in field service or related technical roles

Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems

Strong grasp of technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Time management and ability to work independently

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions

Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards

Ability to adapt to new technologies and willingness to learn

Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting service activities

Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and travel as needed

Experience with CRM or service management software is a plus

Basic understanding of networking and IT systems

Certifications in relevant technical fields are a plus
