Job Description

Full-time position for a Commercial Customer Service Representative (CSR) to service our commercial accounts. Duties will involve answering phone calls, reviewing insurance policies for accuracy (new policies, renewal policies, changes to the policy), data entry into our management system, preparing applications for renewing policies, drafting letters and emails, and other additional clerical duties as directed by the agency. The CSR will support the Commercial Account Manager in managing a book of business.

Full time position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a 1 hour lunch break.

We pay an hourly rate based on experience and qualifications. Raises and bonuses based on performance.

Promotions to an Account Manager available based on performance, which has more responsibility and higher pay. Historically, promotion to an Account Manager can be between 3 - 12 months.

Responsibilities

Review client insurance policies for accuracy.

Complete policy data input into agency management system.

Accurately prepare renewal policy applications and send to customers.

Field incoming phone calls, and provide answers to coverage and billing questions.

Process customer policy change requests.

Complete certificate of insurance requests.

Quote new and renewal policies when needed.

Provides on-going support to insurance clients as needed.

Requirements

Technological proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and ability to learn other customer management systems quickly.

Detail oriented with proficiency to multi-task.

Willingness to learn, be resourceful and trainable.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

A Property & Casualty License is preferred but not required at hiring. Within 90 days, Property & Casualty License is required (agency provides training and covers cost of license, etc).
