Opened in May 2021, the brand new Nevada Cares Campus emergency shelter admits men and couples and serves as a space where staff provides access to basic services and a more secure location for individuals not wishing to move into congregate shelters.

We are looking for experienced CNAs to work in the clinic, weekends only, servicing to the above patient population. Outpatient clinic is open 7 days a week from 8 AM to 4 PM. Anticipated schedule is every other weekend from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with ability to pick up hours during the week if available.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the CNA include, but are not limited to:

Completion of participant screening upon entry to the campus

Taking and recording vital signs such as height, weight, blood pressure, pulse,respirations, and oxygen saturations

Evaluation of participant health requests in conjunction with the RN on shift

Referral to the medical provider when appropriate

Completion of treatments ordered by the medical provider

Administration of medications when necessary

Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas

Verification of medications as appropriate

Review of verified medications with the medical provider

Administration of PPD testing

Review and documentation of PPD reading

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Nevada unrestricted Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license

Two years of current experience

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
