AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Member of a 6-7 people team responsible for group-wide mergers & acquisitions. The team reports into Group CFO and member of the executive board PURPOSE OF JOB Be part of the M&A team that is responsible for driving, coordinating and delivering the Randstad Group M&A strategy
KEY ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES :Within the M&A team:
● support senior M&A team members on all aspects of acquisitions and divestments from beginning to end (e.g. valuation, target & market research, deal execution, project management, preparing presentations for the Executive Board)
● monitor a defined set of markets and large industry competitors
● assist in the preparation of materials for strategic discussions in the Executive and Supervisory Boards
● be a linking pin between the different departments involved in specific M&A projects (Legal, Tax, Accounting, Control, etc.)
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
● Internal: group control, operating companies CEOs and CFOs, and Executive Board
● External: investment banks, transaction teams, legal advisors, research firms
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
● Master degree in economics or sciences
EXPERIENCE ● minimum 2 years of experience in corporate finance / investment banking, transaction services or equity research
COMPETENCIES :
● Highly analytical, independent and quick thinker
● Able to complete complex financial/strategic analyses with limited oversight and support
● Self-starter, keen to take initiative
● Well-developed project management skills
● Strong communicator
● Fluent in English
● Strong ability to adapt to change
OTHER ● Open to travel (up to 25%)
