Job Title: Senior Manager Sustainability Decarbonization

Reports to: Head - CSR & Sustainability

Job Description:

As a Senior Manager Sustainability Decarbonization, you will be responsible to drive and enhance best-in-class decarbonization approach for the Group which includes benchmarking & designing the overall framework in lines with key business priorities including aspects on carbon footprint and energy efficiency/RE.

The incumbent will collaborate with BU leadership/ Sustainability Spoc to drive map carbon footprints at BU level as well as product level, execute mitigation plans, adopt matured practices in Carbon Management & Ecological Footprint and drive sustainability.

S/he will also act as subject matter expert on decarbonization and drive relevant projects to achieve organizational aspiration to turn to net zero.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

Develop and implement a comprehensive decarbonization strategy for the group companies aligned with corporate goals and industry best practices.

Develop RE strategy aligned with organizational goals and sustainability objectives

Identify key areas for carbon reduction across the group and establish clear targets and timelines for implementation for each BU and the group.

Drive sustainable sourcing interventions and monitor, measure and reduce scope 3 emission across Bus.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and cross - functional teams, to gain buy-in and support for decarbonization initiatives.

Build relationships with external partners, industry groups, and governmental organizations to stay informed about relevant policies, regulations, and technological advancements.

Project Management:

Lead the execution of decarbonization projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.

Coordinate with project teams to set priorities, allocate resources, and monitor progress toward goals.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators related to carbon emissions, energy consumption, and sustainability metrics.

Prepare regular reports for senior management and external stakeholders to track progress and demonstrate the effectiveness of decarbonization efforts.

Technology and Innovation:

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and innovative solutions for decarbonization, evaluating their feasibility and potential impact on the organization.

Champion the adoption of sustainable practices and technologies throughout the group companies, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards, proactively

identifying and addressing any potential risks or liabilities.

Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks associated with decarbonization initiatives and

changes in regulatory requirements.

Educational and Competency Requirements

Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, business management, or related field

Over 7 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or related field, with a focus on carbon reduction strategies and initiatives.
