The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for the setup and maintenance of processes and procedures that properly capture, track, and report revenue, in accordance with the company revenue accounting policy.
This role will be a key contributor to the monthly revenue process, by recording revenue transactions maintaining accurate revenue schedules and variance analysis.
The role will review and maintain information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.
Additionally, this role will work closely with our finance and external audit teams to provide accurate, timely data and help support the annual audit process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform month-end revenue close process including preparing journal entries, perform variance analyses, and prepare monthly account reconciliations
Work through accounting implications and confirm we can operationally support business agreements.
Support and implement programs to centralize, eliminate, or automate
Utilize Workday financial systems, including Adaptive Insights, and improve overall system capabilities and support future reporting tool enhancement projects
Maintain accurate records to facilitate review with senior management, internal and external audit
Independent contributor with full ownership for successful delivery of job specific projects
Understands the “big picture” view and adjusts work accordingly
Review and monitor revenue contracts in Workday financial systems based on GAAP requirements
Lead and assist with other ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of accounting/financial experience
ASC 606 Experience
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Attention to detail
Previous public accounting or revenue accounting experience required
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Key systems experience is a plus (Workday, Salesforce, Adaptive Insights)
CPA or CA preferred
