Controls Engineer

Job Qualifications:

Candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in electrical design or a technical capacity.

Proficiency in controls including PLC, HMI, and Motion Controlled Programs is essential.

Familiarity with electrical engineering design practices is required.

Strong written and oral communication skills at a technical level are necessary.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States on a permanent basis, as no visa sponsorship/support is provided for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

Revamp electrical panel layouts, designs, and CAD schematics to align with industry standards and project requirements.

Conduct thorough calculations, performance research, and component selection to meet design specifications.

Develop equipment sections to match required standards.

Generate bills of material and relevant paperwork according to internal protocols.

Engage in design reviews to assess work order requirements and cost implications.

Design and implement machine logic using PLC, operator interface applications, and servo motion controls.

Execute drawing changes following ECO procedures. Scrutinize drawings and bills of materials pertaining to assigned projects.

Document design considerations, concepts, and software codes. Represent the design team in work order and final design reviews as necessary.

Conduct machine startup and debugging before shipment.

Aid in field startup and troubleshooting machine issues.

Direct various design activities for assigned projects.

Collaborate with the design team to ensure adherence to quality and internal design practices.

Travel as needed.
