We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2-8 years of litigation experience. While experience in insurance defense or oil and gas is preferred, it is not mandatory. The successful candidate must have an active law license in Texas.
This position, offers an associate the opportunity to handle cases throughout the State of Texas. As a result, some travel will be expected. This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced mentors in a collaborative, team environment that provides the opportunity to grow in a way that might not be available at other law firms. The right associate will receive top-notch mentorship, not only to expand litigation skills but to also engage in effective client development. Our senior attorneys want to help this associate grow and develop their litigation skills and practice. Responsibilities:
Manage and handle cases throughout the State of Texas
Conduct legal research and analysis
Draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions
Attend hearings, depositions, and trials
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal team members
Engage in effective client development
Receive mentorship to expand litigation skills and develop a legal practice
Qualifications:
Active law license in Texas
Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
Preferred experience in insurance defense or oil and gas (but not mandatory)
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to handle a diverse caseload
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel as needed
