Professional At Home Jobs ( is now in search for a General Transcriptionist to work remotely in the U.S.

only.JOB TYPE: Independent contractor; MUST be a U.S.

citizen.SCHEDULE: Hours are flexible but we ask that transcribers are availableto transcribe at least 2.5 hours of video/audio a week.

Weekenders areneeded: Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays.RESPONSIBILITIES:Signing up on scheduler, communicate on a daily basis with theProject Manager.

Receive and accept assignments, followingassignment guidelines and styles, submitting assignments bydeadlines, making corrections according to the request.

Check and respond to emails daily and in an efficient manner.

Transcribe multi-speakers verbatim and accurately even withbackground noise and overlapping conversations.Type 60 WPM, accept difficult files as well as the easier files, and useproper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Proficiently research uncertain names and words using Google andother search engines.Read, understand, and follow the instructions and style guide foreach assignment.

Type and proof your transcripts to 98% accuracy.

Be available for 24 turnaround times—it is imperative that you areavailable for corrections, if needed, after submission of yourtranscription assignment, insert time codes every 30-40 seconds orhow instructed per guide, use MS Word proficiently.QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Experience in transcribing post-production,interviews, market research, and focus groups.

Should be knowledgeablein plugging in the start timecode into your transcription software.

We dohave a training video available for this step.JOB REQUIREMENTS/EQUIPMENT: Home office set-up and high-speed Internet.

PC/Laptop with the ability to run a transcription program and theability to upload and download multiple files.

Noise canceling headphones.

Express Scribe or similar transcription software.

Foot pedal is optional but will make your job a lot easier.PAYMENT: $20.00 per audio hour transcribed.
