Waste Water Treatment Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to join a thriving, family-owned manufacturing company in Waterbury, CT and manage the maintenance team.

The role is hands on and perfect for someone who likes to work with their team on the shop floor rather than be at a desk for most of the day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

Responsible for performing all aspects of waste water treatment processes including but not limited to tanker unloading, waste water treatment, chemical additions, sampling, reporting and completing inspections.

Collect and document samples and perform a variety of routine water quality laboratory tests; work closely with laboratory vendors; monitor laboratory results; collect water samples as required.

Performs duties in support of other Environmental programs.

Complies with all Health & Safety requirements and goals.

Performs all daily tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Sweeps and washes floors; empties trash; cleans locker room; rest rooms, and cafeteria; and other related custodial duties in plant and office.

Uses applicable tools and equipment.

Assists in maintenance tasks as directed.

Trains and assists in limited hazardous waste activities.

Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.
