Lead Software Engineer

Your responsibilities

Technical

Lead large development initiatives;

Lead the technical design, and drive your squad's vision to its implementation, through the development of high-quality code;

Design, Build, test, and deploy code using our best practices;

Ensure our technology ecosystem provides a high-quality user experience, with clear feedback mechanisms;

Partner with the CTO and fellow Lead Engineers in conducting requirements discovery, solution presentations, and various workshop formats;

Leadership

Mentor and coach other engineers at Superfiliate on the technical aspects of our systems;

Help to write documentation about our architecture, engineering processes, and best practices;

Provide updates and serve as an advocate of the engineering team to other organizational leaders;

Work with other work streams, such as customer support and sales, as a technical expert and representative of the engineering team;

Provide guidance and standards for the planning and prioritization of resource conflicts, customer demands, and customer support issues to ensure the successful delivery of the committed product roadmap every quarter;

Engage with our merchants at any point in their journey from a technical requirements perspective;

Help the CTO to support and share our technical vision;

We are looking for a Lead Engineer who has:

Working experience with our back-end stack: Ruby, Rails, Sidekiq, GraphQL;

Hands-on experience with our front-end stack: React, Preact, Typescript, NextJS, SWR;

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment;

Ability to maintain a positive mood and inspire coworkers, wherever they are in the world;

Pragmatic and product-oriented mindset;

As a bonus, having experience working with Shopify or any other e-commerce platform;

As a bonus, having previous experience with event sourcing architecture;
