Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or post graduate degree in Occupational Therapy
Must have current Texas Licensure in Occupational Therapy
Must have a desire to work within a team serving children.. birth to age 3 in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program
Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable
Job Purpose:
To provide comprehensive direct occupational therapy, consultative services and service coordiantion for the eligible children of the Early Childhood Intervention program
Coaching and supporting families is an integral part of the ECI program
Job Function:
Provide assessments/evaluations for children referred for services due to delayed and/or atypical motor responses/behaviors which impact feeding, fine motor and physical development
Will participate in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meeting for eligible children for the purpose of sharing assessment/evaluation and addisiting with the development of IFSP
Coordinates services for children and their families
Travel in catchment area to deliver services
Follows infection policy and universal precautions at all times with child and family
