WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Cloud Software Engineer 2, you'll be part of the Analytic Hosting Platform team, leveraging Java and open-source products like Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo to drive data-intensive analytics. We're looking for a self-motivated Software Developer with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Here's what you'll do and the qualifications you'll bring:

Work with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products, including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, to enable data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure.

Participate in team projects and work independently to complete tasks with strong attention to detail.

Engage with various technologies based on customer requirements, enhancing your skill set and versatility.

Handle the deployment and management of applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

Apply your knowledge of the Map Reduce programming model and technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Pig to optimize data processing. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related discipline (Five (5) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree)

Experience with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig.

Familiarity with Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible.

Proactive approach to tasks, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work and effective problem-solving.
