Overview:

Keenan has an exciting career opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Assistant (Direct Bill) based in our Torrance, CA office. The Accounts Receivable Assistant (Direct Bill) will be responsible for processing all Direct bill transactions in the Accounts Receivable unit of the Finance department.

Keenan, an Accretive company, is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm meeting the insurance needs of hospitals, public entities and California school districts. Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability.

What You'll Do:

Process daily bank report for prior date transactions and update detail pages as needed.

Run daily cash summary report builders, maintain and balance open batch log, send out aging update and unposted balance as needed.

Post daily cash receipt and follow up for any backup statement from carrier.

Review Direct Bill Aging report and follow up with carriers and/or producers for outstanding commissions.

Review and update Direct Bill collection notes on the Aging report weekly.

Review New Business Report/Cancellation/Rewrite and follow up with producers for missing information.

Process Direct Bill invoices in Sagitta and perform any related research and follow up as required.

Review Open Batch log and follow up with the team.

Process Direct Bill cash reconciliation to the detail pages and process any adjustments as needed.

Perform Direct Bill Client refund reconciliation (phone number removed) to G/L and follow up for any pending items.

Process monthly consulting accruals and coordinate with Agency Bill.

Prepare quarterly Book of Business report for assigned departments.

Provide training to Direct Bill team as needed.

Correct existing Direct bill policies and/or billings as needed.

Assist with cash receipts research as needed.

Update database with new or changed information.

Prepare quarterly Book of Business report for assigned departments.

Serve as back up for Direct Bill Supervisor.

Assist Agency Bill team as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

Minimum of 2 -3years related work experience required.

College degree preferred.

Strong Analytical Skills.

Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Experience with Sagitta and Saleforce preferred.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
