Position Summary:

• Oversees the shipping/receiving department’s activities.

• Work with all vendors, internal and external, to ensure proper transport and tracking of goods

• Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders (Buyers, Senior Management, and Store Management) regarding processes and status of goods being transported

• Interacts with staff and customers in the place of the store manager if absent

• Actively work to keep to a minimum cost associated with the transport of goods. Examples of this are:

• Consolidation of bulk transport

• Effective timing of deliveries to maximize resource efficiency

• Ensure that appropriate administrative processes are in place (paperwork, data entry, etc.)

• Oversee all transfers of goods in a timely fashion

• Assist with the shipping/receiving of goods

• Ensure that all the appropriate materials are in place to effectively operate the shipping/receiving department

• Directly supervises shipping/receiving department employees

• All other related tasks as assigned.
