The Role and What You’ll Do:

The Equipment Manager Specialist reports to the Equipment Director and will be responsible for overseeing and working on specialized aspects of apparel and related equipment for the Fighters, Cut men, Corner men, The Ultimate Fighter participants, Octagon Girls and other associated fight participants as necessary. The Equipment Manager Specialist will manage and execute the day-to-day alternations for all athletes, corners, and staff and work with the outfitting partner on pattern and fit corrections for athlete outfitting. This position will have specific responsibility related inventory management and procurement for supplies. This position will be responsible for developing and executing the processes and standards by which the role is executed by all Specialists. The Equipment Manager Specialist will also manage all special projects that fulfill athlete, corner and staff needs. The role will interact with Operations, Fighter Relations, Sponsorship, Events, Fighters, Octagon Girls and outside vendors, suppliers and contractors.

Travel to and from Events and Productions to manage the fitting, alternations and repairs of apparel and related equipment to the Fighters and other support roles

Execute repairs and alterations for staff apparel, Octagon Girls, Corners, etc.

Manage and maintain all alterations related records for fighters and corners

Develop and implement processes and standards for all alterations and fitting

Manage the materials and equipment for the alterations area including ordering and inventory management

Collaborate with partners on garments’ fit including pattern alterations & fabrications

Direct the layout and printing all of heat set materials for athlete and corner kits

Procure and maintain inventory on all heat set supplies

Collaborate with on-site TUF production team to provide alterations and fittings of apparel needs for all fighters, coaches and auxiliary staff as necessary

Manage alterations for all TUF production talent

Inventory and communicate product needs and changes for future TUF productions

You Have These:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Five to eight years work experience, or more, in apparel production, apparel alterations/tailoring or related business

Knowledge of apparel construction, fabrication and related areas of business

Five to eight years work experience, or more, in apparel production, apparel alterations/tailoring or related business

Knowledge of apparel construction, fabrication and related areas of business

Strong cross-functional skills, excellent analytical/conceptual abilities and a capacity for creativity and innovation

Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate critical issues and actionable opportunities

Experience with construction of sports apparel and/or cut and sew knits and wovens

Energetic self-starter with strong executive presence and the ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment

Ability to make decisions to grow and protect the brand

Leadership and management skills in addition to the ability to work in both a creative and a tactical, strategic mode

Excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
