Job Summary

Job Title: Regional Vice President, Fueling Services

Reporting to: EVP, Global Head of Fuel

Develop, lead and manage all aspects of the region’s fueling services to maximize growth and profitability while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires a visionary leader who excels at building teams, nurturing collaborative relationships, and steering strategic directions in the dynamic fuel services industry.

Operational Dimension

Leadership and Team Development: Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a robust team of station managers to enhance organizational objectives. Focus on developing bench strength and empowering the team through effective delegation and clear communication.

Strategic Business Development: Pursue and drive profitable new business opportunities that align with the company’s strategic vision. Utilize in-depth knowledge of the fuel services space to anticipate market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.

Operational Excellence: Oversee the implementation of standards, tools, and operations optimization to ensure superior service delivery.

Fuel Quality, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure the establishment of procedures for aircraft fueling, prevention of fuel contamination, fire protection, and supervision of passenger safety during fueling operations. Maintain a commitment to safety and efficiency in all operational aspects.

Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and strengthen effective relationships with key clients (internal/external), representing the organization adeptly in dealings with external parties including government regulators, airport authorities, and service providers.

Communication and Collaboration: Foster a culture of transparency and cooperation both within the team and in interactions with external partners. Ensure clear, effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Key Performance Indicators

Performance Management: On-time Performance (OTP), Net Promoter Score (NPS)

Safety Management: Aircraft Damages (ACD), Lost Time Injuries (LTI), Regulatory and Mandatory Training Compliance

GSE Management: Operational Availability and Preventive Maintenance

Labor & Financial Management: Worked Hours, Overtime, HPF (Hours/Flight), DLR (Direct Labor Ratio), Attrition, Station EBIT and Budget

Qualifications and Competencies

Educational and Professional Background: University degree or equivalent, with 10 to 15 years of relevant business experience. Extensive knowledge and operational experience in aircraft fueling, jet fuel handling, quality control, fuel farm/fuel system operations, and pipeline maintenance.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in senior leadership roles, with a strong focus on performance and profit improvement. Ability to inspire and lead a team in a multicultural environment. Experience in managing turnaround situations is highly desirable.

Strategic and Commercial Acumen: Advanced strategic thinking skills, coupled with a solid understanding of the fuel services business. Ability to set clear directions and cast a compelling vision for the future.

Adaptability and Travel: Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to changing business needs and environments.

Interpersonal Skills: Highly developed interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple constituencies and mentoring staff to achieve their best.
