Job Summary:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Design various plastic injection molded parts, CNC metal parts, and parts and assemblies using other materials using SolidWorks

Create 2D drawings for suppliers and manufacturing

Create prototypes and mockups with various rapid prototype solutions such as 3D printing

Research new innovative technologies for use in UAS’s

Collaborate with cross functional teams such as electrical engineering, manufacturing, reliability and quality

Perform calculations involving force, stress, pressure, moments, thermal

Supporting verification and quality teams in fixture design and testing

Job Qualifications:

Proficient at using SolidWorks for 3D, 2D, assemblies

Ability to generate market leading designs that are built for volume, quality, manufacturing, or outsourcing

Use various analytical techniques for design and performance trade off analysis

Performing design validation and characterization from prototype builds to product testing

Comfortable working with schedules and meeting time, budget and quality targets

Conducting design reviews and driving file release process

Open to working in a complex, multi-cultural, and hands-on environment

Eligible to be certified to examine, possess, and transfer items under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and legally authorized to work in Canada

This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e. regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

Eligible to be certified to examine, possess, and transfer items under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and legally authorized to work in Canada
