The Cyber Security Architecture & Engineering Director is responsible for planning, directing and managing Ameris Bank's Information Security Architecture & Cyber Security Engineering to ensure the security of the Bank’s operations, assets, and data. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

· Manage and direct Information Security personnel, Information Security systems, processes, procedures, and work effort coordination.

· Develops technical security controls and methodologies to support Information Security.

· Ensure cyber security controls are adequate, maintained, backed up and supported.

· Oversees the security control and process selection, integration and maintenance.

· Manage and coordinate cyber security projects to mitigate threats and risks to the organization’s operations, assets, and data.

· Ensure information security systems are functional and maintained.

· Responsible for managing the Information Security personnel, projects, and tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

· Expert knowledge of enterprise Cyber Security architecture and engineering practices.

· Expert knowledge of enterprise Information Security methods and procedures.

· Expert knowledge of enterprise Cyber Security offensive and defensive security controls.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Takes a professional approach relating to others, treats others with consideration and respect regardless of employee level.

· Ability to adapt and manage frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

· Knowledge of methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security procedures.

· Uses good judgement while making decisions on Information Security.

Industry and Work Experience:

· 3+ years of management experience in Information Security or related field.

· 8+ years of Information Security hands-on technical experience.

· PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Enterprise Security Architecture, Enterprise Security Engineering, Red Team (offensive security) oversight experience, Blue Team (defensive security) oversight experience, IAM (Identity and Access Management) experience, Application security experience, Policy and Standard writing.

Academic:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Bachelor's degree preferred.

· Cyber Security certifications required, such as from certification groups such as GIAC (SANS), ISACA, Offensive Security, ISC, EC-Council.
