Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer performs conventional, less complex manufacturing engineering assignments that involve developing and improving engineering processes and systems (including advanced) associated with the production of the organization's products

Main Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Engineer uses engineering principles to design, procure, install, and validate manufacturing processes. Analyzes and plans for labor utilization, equipment requirements, workflow, manufacturing space requirements and layout for maximum efficiency. Interfaces with the development team from concept through start of production to ensure the successful launch of new products.

Specific Duties:

Development of manufacturing processes by completing detailed engineering analysis of:

Logistics and contingency planning

Process flow

Participate in Continuous Improvement processes

Process labor planning & line balance

Material flow planning

Plant layout

Shop floor controls systems

Ergonomic analysis

Workstation planning

Lead and participate in PFMEA analysis.

Develop and maintain process documentation books for areas of responsibility according to established corporate and third-party standards

Production equipment & tooling specification, purchase, and acceptance

Identify and implement error proofing requirements throughout the production process.

Validation of manufacturing process to meet labor targets, production output and quality standards

Education Preferred:

Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred

Equivalent experience may be considered

Required Experience

University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3 years of suggested minimum experience.

AutoCAD experience required
