As a Senior Network Engineer, your essential job functions will include the following:

Responsible for the research, architecture and implementation of complex multi-vendor networking solutions within an international organization composed of corporate sites, datacenters, distribution centers and cloud.

Provide analysis and recommendations to improve reliability and performance.

Evaluate new technologies, analyze costs and provide clarity around findings.

Manage capacity and performance of the network platforms.

Ensure systems are configured and maintained per cyber security requirements.

Implement advanced network monitoring, management and troubleshooting systems and tools.

Performs rapid troubleshooting and resolution of system wide issues.

Provide support of information technology up-time metrics and service level agreements.

Maintain network documentation to reflect current state of the environment.

Assist and mentor other team members in support of departmental goals.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or at least 10 years of experience in a senior network role.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to visualize a problem and solve it.

Expert level understanding of a wide range of LAN, WAN and Cloud based network technologies.

Advanced understanding of networking protocols -- OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc...

Advanced understanding of web protocols – HTTP, HTTPS, etc…

CCIE preferred. CCNA, CCDA certification tracks or equivalent experience.

Proven expertise with the following systems desirable: Cisco Routers/Switches/WLCs/WAPs/ASAs,

Cisco FMC/DNA/ISE, F5 LTM/APM/ASM, SolarWinds, Unix/Linux, MPLS, Fiber, Copper.

Secondary experience with Security/SEIM tools and logging software.

Physical Job Requirements

Must be able to install/de-install rack-mounted and freestanding networking equipment including routers, switches, load balancers, etc.

Working in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.

Lifting and moving computer devices up to 50 pounds.

Travel as necessary, < 10%.
