Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and user-friendly e-commerce websites.

Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and intuitive web interfaces.

Implement and customize Shopify themes, plugins, and apps to enhance site functionality.

Develop custom Shopify applications as needed to meet client specifications.

Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and conversion rate.

Integrate third-party tools and APIs to enhance site functionality.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance, security, and usability.

Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices.

Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance.

Lead and mentor junior developers, providing support and code reviews.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in web development and design, with a strong focus on e-commerce.

Proven experience with Shopify platform development, including Liquid templating, theme customization, and app development.

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js).

Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.

Experience with back-end development, preferably with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or PHP.

Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with third-party services.

Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Portfolio of previous e-commerce and web development projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with additional e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce).

Familiarity with cloud services and deployment (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).

Experience with SEO best practices and digital marketing integration.

Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices.

Certification in Shopify or other relevant web development certifications.
