Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire a Cloud Business Consultant to support the Cloud Program Office (CPO) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) located in Silver Spring, MD, to play a critical role in the adoption and implementation of cloud computing technologies within NOAA. The selected candidate will assist the Director with advocating the benefits and adoption of cloud technologies across NOAA programs. Candidates must be willing to drive the understanding and utilization of cloud services and solutions, posses a strong technical background, along with exceptional communication and leadership skills to effectively promote cloud initiatives and transformation.

Essential Functions

Assisting the NOAA Cloud Program Office (NCPO) Director with the development od cloud outreach strategies

Collaborating with key stakeholders to create comprehensive outreach plans that highlights the advantages of cloud computing to address NOAA’s operational needs and challenges

Tailoring outreach initiatives to align with federal guidelines and regulations

Assisting the NCPO team with stakeholder engagement

Engaging with various internal and external stakeholders to build awareness and garner support for cloud initiatives

Fostering relationships with NOAA programs and communities of practice to promote the benefits of cloud technologies

Encouraging adoption of cloud technologies and tools within the NOAA community

Supporting the NCPO team with content creation and dissemination of cloud information and materials by generating engaging and informative content, including outreach materials, case studies, white papers, and presentations to educate internal OCIO teams and external stakeholders about the benefits and security measures associated with cloud adoption

Helping the NCPO team with advocating for the benefits of cloud computing within NOAA by promoting the advantages in terms of scalability, cost-effectiveness, security, and agility through collaboration with cross-functional cloud service teams to identify, prioritize, and address cloud-related challenges and opportunities

Aiding in the planning and coordination of knowledge-sharing initiatives and events (e.g. NOAA competitions, Cloud Day, etc.), seminars, and webinars to educate and showcase the benefits of cloud computing for NOAA and its communities

Representing the OCIO at relevant communities, research activities, and forums to network within NOAA and other industry professionals in the promotion of NOAA’s cloud initiatives

Monitoring the effectiveness of outreach campaigns and initiatives and analyze the impact of cloud adoption with the agency

Preparing regular reports and presentations to demonstrate the values of cloud computing in improving operational efficiency and achieving agency objectives
