At Belmont Village, the Bistro Cook prepares creative and delicious lighter fare along with grab and go options for our senior residents in the center of our bustling Bistro.

Exceptional customer service with a pleasant and professional demeanor and appearance is required for success in the Bistro Cook position.

Your Typical Daily Responsibilities * Prepares high quality meals from scratch in our Bistro Café in a timely and courteous manner * Prepares the Bistro Café for daily service maintaining cleanliness of the area as well as keeping all equipment, flatware, condiments and beverages in a constant state of readiness * Follows checklists and company procedures to ensure the Bistro is stocked and that cleanliness and sanitation is well maintained at all times * Demonstrates a professional image at all times by adhering to company uniform code and by providing excellent customer service to all guests * Maintains Bistro food and beverages at a high level of quality and freshness throughout the day * Provides service in other areas of the kitchen as assigned by the Chef * Creates decorative and enticing Bistro food displays using daily selections Skills Required for Success * Basic culinary skills and techniques * Being flexible and adaptable to different schedules, tasks and evolving needs within the department * Ability to actively listen, observe, identify and anticipate guests needs with a strong focus on customer service * Ability to follow detailed instruction while working as part of a team to achieve a collective goal
