PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR 1STSHIFT (PAINT DEPARTMENT)

* Family organization has recently expanded and is hiring a production supervisor for day shift to oversee the paint/ powder coat departments

* Company has been in business for 52 years and continues to grow each year due to phenomenally high-quality products

* The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing, quality, and paint processing department.

* MUST HAVE PAINT AND OR POWDER COATING EXPERIENCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* This position will manage 50 employees overseeing 2 robotic paint-lines and 1 highly custom and manual paint area

* Responsible for ensuring employee productivity, facility and safety activities while working in conjunction with other managers and supervisors

* Monitor, exceed, and maintain production standards for efficiencies, material waste and quality.

* Continuing cost and operational improvement that the plant is producing and shipping the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.

* Development and implementation of the Capital Plan to ensure capacity meets demand.

* Establish a culture of engagement and set the strategic direction for the team.

* Lead health, safety, and environmental processes for the total facility.

* Strategic involvement with leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, and similar principles

REQUIREMENTS:

* BA/BS degree ideally in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Management, or an equivalent of 4+ years of paint production leadership experience

* 3-7+ years of experience in a metal fabrication, casting, welding, painting, assembly or other industrial and related environments is preferred

* Bi-lingual English / Spanish is highly preferred

* Demonstrated success with understanding yields, labor and driving efficiencies forward; experience using systems to track is preferred

* Must be flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced environment utilizing lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies
