Join our team as a Human Resources Generalist, where you'll play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive HR and administrative support, as well as some special projects to truly make your own. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth delivery of top-notch services to our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Generalist Initiatives:

Supports employee engagement by respectful, confidential and timely responses to requests such as employment verification letters and/or validation via telephone

Ensures integrity of personnel records by timely and accurate maintenance and updating of electronic files including tracking of hourly employee training and updating reports such as discipline tracking

Contribute to the recruitment process by assisting with job postings, resume screening and shortlisting, offer letters, etc. while adhering to labour and employment standards and Company policies

Assist in the updating, maintenance and development of employee handbooks, policies and procedures by conducting research on best practices, keeping informed on current labour and employment standards and emerging human resource trends

Records Management:

Provides employee access to personnel files upon request and in accordance with record management protocols

Supports organizational efficiency by updating and maintaining records throughout the organization

Ensures compliance across multiple jurisdictions

Special Projects:

Engages with special projects on an as-required basis, utilizing personal expertise and company resources to ensure successful project development and launches

Explore special interests in a way that benefits both self and the organization

Team Collaboration:

Facilitate a cohesive and knowledgeable human resources team by proactively resolving complex issues and exchanging information with colleagues.

Provide support during heavy workload periods and vacation, ensuring continuous workflow.

Qualifications:

Excellent judgment and strong interpersonal skills are required to deal with human resource issues that are typically confidential and sensitive

Knowledge and understanding of Employment and Labour Standards, Human Rights, Workers’ Compensation, Privacy Laws, and other relevant legislation within Canada and the United States

Self-starter who demonstrates initiative, strives to meet deadlines, accepts responsibility and works with a minimum of supervision

Strong compliance focus, ensuring alignment with employment equity initiatives and expertise in navigating legislative requirements and standard operating procedures.

Collaborative team player with excellent organizational skills, recordkeeping proficiency, and the ability to resolve complex issues in a dynamic human resources environment.

This is a hybrid role with in-office time required weekly
