Qualifications

18 years of age

Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation given by Oasis

Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and follow a written plan of care by using verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Licensed driver with automobile insurance in accordance with state and/or Oasis requirements

Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability

Client Assistance: Provide essential assistance to clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with mobility and transfers as needed, ensuring client safety and comfort.

Medication Reminders: Support clients in adhering to their medication schedules, helping them take the right medications at the right times as prescribed by their healthcare providers.

Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in conversations, playing games, and participating in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.

Meal Preparation: Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as required, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences.

Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up living areas, doing laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.

Observation and Reporting: Monitor clients' health status and note any changes in physical, mental, or emotional conditions. Report observations to supervisory healthcare professionals to ensure timely interventions.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of care provided, documenting daily activities, observations, and any changes in clients' conditions.

Family Communication: Maintain open communication with clients' families, providing updates on their loved ones' well-being and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
