Maintenance Technician (Weekend Days)

Job Description

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems with production equipment, including conveyor systems, mixers, pumps, and packaging machines

Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems used in the production process

Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area

Document maintenance and repair activities in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and provide regular reports to the Maintenance Manager

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food production or processing environment

Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment

Experience with PLCs and other control systems

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

Good communication skills and attention to detail
