Job Description

G&M Works LLC is Hardscape, Sitework / BPP, Drainage & Utilities, Amenity Space & Landscape Contactor working in NYC for high end developers. Looking for PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT LAYOUT / SURVEYOR

Must have extensive knowledge of grading, excavation, concrete, concrete finishing, form work, concrete design, masonry, asphalt and site work applications and procedures, including but not limited to, flatwork, curbs, foundations, walls, stairs, asphalt, slabs, retaining walls, drainage, waterproofing, rooftop amenity spaces, elevated decking, outside kitchens, metal work, compacting, backfilling and NYC DOT sidewalks

Experience using levels, conventional surveying equipment and instruments while collecting field survey data for different types of construction layouts and surveys

Travel to locations and select known reference points to determine the exact location of important features and components

Prepare layout documents and computations and as built drawings and descriptions utilizing AutoCad, BlueBeam and other related software

Read architectural drawings, scope, details and measurements while confirming with field conditions and measurements and keeping detailed notes and logs

Compute measurements and interpret plans in order to determine positions, shapes and elevations

Record the results of surveying and verify the accuracy of onsite control points

Review other applicable reference materials and location specifications to ensure accuracy of layouts, stakeouts and point data extraction

Identify and obstacles, discrepancies and issues and communicate knowledge with team members to resolve problems

Prepares standard forms and communicates the project requirements and expectations

Ability to work outdoors in al types of weather and terrain conditions

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
