About the Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Data Strategy and Campaign Operations to join our Marketing team reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Technology.

Understanding customer data, gathering, and interpreting customer insights to inform marketing strategy and decision-making are essential aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will have experience with personalization and first-party data capture techniques to develop comprehensive customer profiles based on key behaviors and preferences. Additionally, they should possess the ability to develop and optimize strategies to effectively communicate with these customers.

This individual will be an independent thinker and a proactive problem solver with an owner mindset. You enjoy learning new technologies, and who will understand and leverage the tech to get to your end goal rather than relying solely on external support/resources to recommend an approach. You are a self-learner and utilizing knowledge bases and online resources to upskill, identify solutions, test and implement them effectively is second nature to you.

This individual will have a proven track record of technology vendor selection and successfully leading new implementations and migrations including ESP/SMS/CDP/Database/Personalization platforms

The ability to adapt to changes quickly and successfully operate in a dynamic environment is essential for this role. What You’ll Do Key Accountabilities

Partner cross functionally with key stakeholders (Marketing, Analytics, Data Science, Product, Engineering) to support multi-channel marketing efforts and technology strategy across multiple channels.

Lead the development of CRM strategy, including customer segmentation, content, targeting, and lifecycle management.

Support the build, scheduling, and deployment of marketing communications to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and lifetime value.

Leverage first-party data and customer insights to personalize content and messaging, thereby driving higher engagement and conversion rates.

Identify and implement opportunities for automation that increase the efficiency of marketing channels and enable scale while reducing the time need to build complex segmentation and ensuring error-free execution of campaign launches.

Support builds of API and automation driven journeys and help define and build new capabilities to manage multi-channel customer messaging at scale.

Possess a deep understanding of customer-related data, identifying new data sources and attributes relevant to marketing objectives, resolving reporting dependencies, defining data model requirements, and collaborating with analytics and data engineering teams to advance data initiatives.

Monitor data quality, proactively identify and address issues and implement preventive measures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Partner with the data and analytics teams to devise and support A/B and multivariate testing strategies, develop a testing roadmap and continuously test, iterate and optimize to increase the effectiveness of our marketing communications.

Track campaign performance metrics and customer data to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimization.

Regularly monitoring critical targeting segments (e.g., opted in segments for email/SMS/DM/3rd party targeting) and ensures timely identification of issues and proactively driving the resolution of source issues to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.

Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related experience. MBA is a plus.

12+ years of combined experience in Martech demonstrating a deep understanding of the technical architecture and capabilities of ESP/CDP/SMS/Personalization platforms.

Proven track record of selection and successfully leading new implementations and migrations of marketing automation platforms and related technologies (ESP/SMS/CDP/Database migrations/Personalization platforms).

Hands on experience with MarTech solutions such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Adobe Campaign/Oracle Responsys/Braze/Epsilon etc. is required.

Hands on experience with Customer Data Platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud/Amperity/Action IQ/Simon Data/Segment/Adobe etc is required.

Experience with Salesforce products (Marketing Cloud Personalization, Marketing Cloud Engagement) is preferred.

Experience with marketing, personalization and advertising technologies such as Liveclicker/Persado/Bluecore/ Liveramp/DSPs/Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics/Tag Management is a plus.

Strong SQL skills, including experience with writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions is required. Hands-on experience working with AWS Redshift/Snowflake/Teradata or similar tools.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python/Ampscript is preferred.

Independent thinker with proven ability working on projects in fast-paced environments and adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements is required.

Hands on experience in building and deployment of marketing and transactional email campaigns is required.

Proven ability in automating and improving campaign development, deployment and QA process.

Understanding of deliverability concepts and experience implementing changes to adhere to data privacy and compliance regulations in a must.

Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, in a hybrid work arrangement near our Dublin Corporate Office

The starting salary for this position is $153,400 – 204,500 and may increase to $230,000 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 20% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
