Description
SUMMARY
The Door Person is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience by warmly welcoming guests and maintaining the lobby and Porte Coche. Must have a great personality, be friendly and like people.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Offers assistance with vehicle doors and luggage upon guest arrival
Escorts incoming guests to their rooms while offering information about the hotels outlets and amenities
Greet visitors and guests on departure, wishing them a pleasant journey
Complete all items on the daily checklist
Must ensure the front drive and lobby are clean, organized and tidy
Is knowledgeable of all hotel and conference center services and amenities
Ability to communicate customer needs
Follow up with front office team members on daily shift and individual duties
Responsible for maintaining Porte-cochere/lobby appearance while on duty
Deliver service at a level that exceeds guest expectation
Perform related services, such as calling taxicabs, assisting handicap and carrying packages to resident apartments
To park guest cars in the hotels allocated car parking spaces
Ensure guest satisfaction by performing such duties as attending to their requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently, and accepting changes or additions in work hours, which are necessary for the maintenance of uninterrupted service to hotel guests and patrons
Maintain an efficient system of communication between the Front Office and other departments, with particular regard to guest arrivals and departures
Maintain cleanliness of car and golf carts
Complete additional duties as assigned by the Bell Captain or Front Office Manager(s)
Ability to act independently with minimal supervision
Support safe work habits and contribute to a safe working environment at all times
Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
Exceptional organizational skills
Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Two year's related hotel/resort industry experience and/or training
High school or GED graduate
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, comprehend and provide instructions, both written and verbal
Ability to effectively present information to individuals and all sizes of groups (i.e. clients, customers, guests, associates, managers etc.)
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US
Valid California Driver License is required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment at Resort ranges from winter time lows of 30 degrees to summer time highs to 80+ degrees. While performing these duties the employee may be exposed to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
