Overview:

AIR MILES is growing and changing the loyalty landscape in Canada! Over the past couple of years, we have onboarded dozens of new brands, expanded our Card-Linked Offer platform, enabled Miles-earning through receipt-scan, launched a new Retail Media Network (AMP Media), and much more! To continue to drive growth of the AIR MILES Reward Program, the Strategic Partnerships team is charged with creating new partnership models and leading the full sales cycle for new Partners and the evolution and growth of existing Partners.

The Account Manager, Tier 1 and Agency Partnerships plays a pivotal role in the growth of our in-house Media Network (MN), AMP Media. This new service is a top strategic priority for the AIR MILES Reward Program, already demonstrating value to participating Partners and poised for scalable growth over the next 3 years.

We’re looking for a hungry relationship owner to foster and expand relationships with Tier 1 Advertisers and advertising agencies within the advertising and media industry. This individual will be responsible for driving growth, managing key accounts, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and value to our advertising Partners. Successful candidates will bring a strong functional skill base, a track record of delivering results, and good interpersonal and organizational skill sets.

Responsibilities:

Relationship Management and Growth

Develop and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 Advertisers and advertising agencies.

Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to maximize revenue and partnership value.

Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Media Sales to refine and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for each key account.

Forecast and track key account metrics and proactively identify growth opportunities

Update job knowledge through educational opportunities; professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, etc

Client Success and Satisfaction

Serve as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 Advertisers and agencies

Support assigned accounts through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings

Keep current AMP Media accounts satisfied and deliver exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis

Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service, resolve issues, and drive partner satisfaction.

Sales and Revenue Generation

Manage a portfolio of Tier 1 Advertisers and agency accounts, ensuring revenue targets are achieved.

Lead brand-level selling activities, including pitching key value propositions and tailored solutions.

Lead opportunities through various stages of the sales pipeline, including pitch meetings, negotiations, and upsell opportunities

Effectively communicate the benefits of our offerings and negotiate contracts to drive revenue growth.

Achieve agreed upon sales (revenue/billings) targets and outcomes within defined schedule

Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments

Analyze the assigned territory/market’s potential, track sales, and develop status reports

Provide summarized reports on Digital Media market needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services

Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends

Liaise with the Partner Onboarding team to ensure a smooth partner launch

Qualifications:

Minimum five-plus years of experience in account management or business development within the advertising and media industry

Proven work experience in Sales and Account Management

Strong knowledge of the advertising and media industry, including digital advertising trends and technologies

Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful partnerships

Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level

Solid experience with BRM, CRM and Sales Intelligence platforms (i.e., Salesforce, ZoomInfo) along with ability to build productive business professional relationships

Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales

Excellent selling, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills

Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills

Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs

Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs

Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time

Compensation and Benefits:$74,800.00 - $138,600.00

Pay Type:Salaried

The above represents AIR MILES’ pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents AIR MILES’ expected target for the first year in this position.

AIR MILES’ total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
