This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role in our company.

As a Permanent Superintendent (Excavation), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all excavation activities on our construction sites.

You will work closely with our project managers and site engineers to ensure all excavation work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate all excavation activities on construction sites.

Work closely with project managers and site engineers to ensure all excavation work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Develop and implement excavation plans and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Manage and supervise excavation crews, providing guidance and feedback as necessary.

Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to excavation work.

Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and operated.

Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to excavation work.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on heavy job and excavation.

Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar leadership role.

Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to excavation work.

Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various construction sites within the local area.

Must be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.

A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
