DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Super-heads the development and updating of Company Occupational Health Policies, Programs, Procedures and Work Instructions and ensures that these adhered to by all the employees regularly reviewed and updated and communicated.

2. Performs health examination and provides emergency and palliative care and treatment (i.e First aid,checking of vital signs, health review, dispensing of medicines) to the employees within legal scope of nursing.

3.Maintains employees health records and submits regulatory reports to DOLE and the Department of Health (DOH) on a timely basis.

4. Coordinates with Human Resources and Environment& Safety Departments as to the implementation of the Company's COVID Protocols and Control Programs.

5. Conducts contract-tracing for confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases and regularly updates the COVID-19 monitoring reports.

6.Assists the Occupational Health Physician (OHP) by providing nursing care to the ill and injured as well as giving suggestions to improve the workers health conditions.

7. Assesses and determines the health status of employees during and after an illness and refers the status the employee to the OHP for FIT-TO-WORK- (FTW) Certification before being admitted Back-to-wok (BTW).

8. Renders home or hospital visitation to a sick employees as needed.

9. Conducts plant rounds for health and safety inspection and creates safety and health awareness among employees.

10. Participates in emergency preparedness and response programs.

11. Conducts SHE orientation to employees regarding company rules and regulations pertaining to health, including medical benefits.

12.Facilitates trainings for health promotion and disease prevention.

13. Summarizes the Occupational Health Performance of the company on a monthly basis.

14. Coordinates with Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Coordinator for the Annual Physical Exam (APE), inclusion and updating of employees to insurance benefits, and for check-up and admission assistance of employees.

15. Disseminate health information through the occupational health bulletin and through electronic mails.

16. Maintains individual health records with utmost confidentiality.

17. Assist in processing government-related claims and documents for sick employees.

18. Prepares and submits the Annual and Monthly Medical Records to Department of Labor and Employment and Department of Health.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Knowledgeable in Constitutional Legislations, regulations, and modern trends related to OSH.

2. Ability to take initiative and to work less supervision.

3. Possesses strong attention to details and excellent organizational skills.

4. Possesses excellent documentation and communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

2. Licensed Nurse and an active member of the Occupational Health Association of the Philippines (OHNAP).

3. Completion of the 5o-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health training for Nurses.

4. At least three (3) years work experience in Occupational Health, preferably in a Manufacturing Industry.

Jacobi Carbons Philippines, Inc. was established in the first quarter of 2012 and was engaged in purchasing of coconut shell charcoal (CSC) from local farmers, granulated them to required sizes and prepared them for export to its affiliate companies in India, Vietnam and Sri Lanka after a thorough quality control process. At an average shipment volume of 700-1000 metric tons weekly, these were being used to manufacture Activated Carbon of the other affiliate locations. Later, an activation facility was set up in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.

Jacobi Carbons Philippines, Inc. was granted the Certification for Start of Commercial Operation on August 1, 2015 and is registered as an Ecozone Export Enterprise with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA). The first export shipment of manufactured activated carbon went out on August 20, 2015 to Auckland, California, USA. Not long after, the new plant facility was officially inaugurated on September 22, 2015.

It operates within a total land area of 4.8-hectares at PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate. The scope of its registered activity with PEZA is to engage in the production of normal and value-added activated carbon, charcoal for activation and granulated charcoal and importation raw materials, machinery and equipment used directly in its registered operations.

With an annual capacity of 15,000 metric tons, JCX continues to produce and export Activated Carbon to the world market.
