Medical Billing Manager

Exhale Sinus TMJ Headache Sleep is located in Schaumburg. We are dedicated to providing care for patients with Sinus, Nasal, TMJ, Headache and Sleep conditions. We employ physicians who specialize in ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat/Otolaryngology) as well as advanced practice providers including a nurse practitioner and physician assistants.

We’re looking for an experienced, detail oriented medical billing manager specializing in ENT to join our team! The manager's responsibilities will include accurate interpretation and billing of physician charges for physician services. This includes entering the appropriate CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS codes, submitting charges to payers along with working AR. You will also help to recruit, train, and oversee other billing employees.

Essential Job Functions:

Works with the Billing personnel to manage all coding processes and charges.

Performs initial charge review to determine appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes to be used to report physician services to Insurances.

Interprets progress notes, discharge summaries, and charge documents to determine services provided and accurately assign CPT and ICD-10 coding to these services.

Enters appropriate data into Advanced MD (AMD) EHR by selecting the appropriate codes, diagnosis, and modifiers.

Working knowledge of Medicare and commercial insurance is a must.

Communicate with physicians regarding procedures and other services billed to ensure proper coding.

Monitors and follows up to ensure all services that can be billed are captured and coded for billing.

Performs duties and job functions in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Run reports to evaluate for clean claim rate.

Monitor reimbursement to assess for issues in reimbursement.

Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

ENT experience is preferred

Claims and EOB experience is required

Professional Biller/Coder with a minimum of three years experience with CPT/ICD-10 preferred

Working knowledge of Commercial and Medicare payers is required

Good working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy required

Strong knowledge and level of comfort with computer systems strongly preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high level of organizational skills required

Knowledge of Advanced MD (AMD) EHR is a plus

High school diploma or GED completion is required

Experience:

ICD-10: 3 year (Must)

Medical Billing: 3 year (Must)

Medical Billing Management: 3 years (Must)
