Data Visualization Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as a Data Visualization Specialist supporting clients. Identify and collect data sources, analyze, and extract key data and information, and evaluate and monitor data quality to meet an organization's information needs and requirements. Apply consulting and technical expertise to customer challenges and develop virtual dashboards built upon specialized software fed by multiple databases. Identify, design, and execute visualization approaches and visually articulate cohesive analysis results. Conduct verification and validation of data, visualization models, and resulting visualizations.

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of experience working in a professional environment

3+ years of experience with data analytics and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

2+ years of experience with demoing dashboards and briefing techniques, methods, and findings to senior personnel and clients

2+ years of experience with querying languages such as SQL, or scripting languages such as R or Python

1+ year of experience with geospatial data analysis using ArcGIS or QGIS

Experience with management consulting techniques, including client interviews, requirements gathering, mock-up creation, and problem-solving

Experience with using Microsoft Office

Knowledge of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with advanced SQL, including subqueries

Experience with advanced Tableau, including parameters and calculated field creation with LODs

Experience with advanced Power BI, including DAX

Experience with Human-Centered Design (HCD), Customer Experience (CX), User Experience (UX), or User Interface (UI) design

Bachelor's in Economics, Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred; Master’s degree in Economics, Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
