Job SummaryThe Physical Therapist III provides direct patient and family centered care under the direction of the Rehabilitation Leadership Team. This includes evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning based on functional needs. Works with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and adjust treatment plan as necessary. May participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development.

Pay RangeMinimum $49.41 Midpoint $65.47 Maximum $81.53

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

* Required: Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in pediatrics.

* Preferred: Three (3) years of clinical experience in pediatrics. Clinical Affiliation in Pediatrics; one (1) year of CHOC experience.

Education

* Required: Successful completion of accredited physical therapy program. Bachelor's degree in related field.

* Preferred: Master's degree or higher in related field.

Specialized Skills

* Required: Good verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skill. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to provide compassionate and caring services equally, regardless of race, beliefs, sex, economic status, age, or disability with mentoring. Ability to resolve patient care and peer to peer issues, following licensure and departmental guidelines. Serves as a clinical resource.

Licensure

* Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Physical Therapist License – CA.

* Preferred: CCS Paneling.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) .

Physical Activity Requirements:Bending, Carry Objects, Climbing, Keyboard use/repetitive motion, Pinching/fine motor activities, Push/Pull, Reaching forward, Reaching overhead, Sitting, Squat/kneel/crawl (Squad & Knee), Standing, Talk or hear, Taste or smell, Twisting, Walking, Wrist position deviation
