Ensures that the construction, erection, installation and repair are based on industry standards and code.
Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such
as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated. May verify trueness of
structure with plumb bob and carpenter’s level. May help and advise in the process of framework erection
for structures and laying of the sub-flooring.
Superintendent – Possesses all of the foreman skills, having verifiable minimum experience and/or holds
an accepted certification, license and/or degree in a specific craft. Usually considered the most
experienced, highest skilled professional in their respective field and possesses very good supervisory
skills. Provides supervision for multiple craft crews. Requires no supervision.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with
the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to
project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will
possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as
necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Basic Job Requirements
High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and
seven (7) years to ten (10) years related experience.
Requires computer skills and proficiency using
email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Journeyman level certification or equivalent.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a Secret Security Clearance
Other Job Requirements
Performs facility structural and roof inspections, maintenance, and repair of structural components of all facilities.
Journeyman Carpenters, augmented by Laborers, perform painting and corrosion control.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior military and/or contingency experience.
