Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Junior Pricing Analyst to join a talented and dynamic Bid & Proposal Team responsible for supporting growth efforts across the company. As Pricing Analyst, you will serve as an integral member of Aptive’s Growth organization designed to enhance our ability to win new and follow-on business. As such, you must be able to function in a fast-paced proposal environment and collaborate to develop pricing and win strategies while ensuring compliance and schedule adherence.

As Pricing Analyst reporting to the Pricing Manager within the Bid & Proposals (B&P) Group, you will provide pricing support for new and existing business opportunities throughout the opportunity lifecycle – with the objective of producing high quality proposals that contribute to ability to win. As part of your role, you are encouraged to identify areas for improvements and participate in developing improvements to existing methods as appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform reviews of proposals priced by other pricing analysts Bid & Proposal Team to successfully address proposal requirements

Develop pricing for proposal submissions by working closely with the Sr. Pricing Manager, Capture Manager, Solutions Architect, and Proposal Manager

Document, archive, and maintain pricing corporate pricing repository to enable better internal competitive pricing data and serve as system for potential government audits.

Assist in the development of pricing models and templates for both internal and external use

Develop and communicate potential pricing scenarios (e.g., workshare and margin implications) for consideration directly impacting company win rate

Manage the distribution of pricing data calls to subcontractors including subcontract type and rate targets and respond to pricing data calls by prime contractors

Analyzes and reports trends on pricing and develops recommendations based on findings

Develop and communicate Pricing's requirements and strategy in the proposal planning/ scheduling process.

Review and interpret RFP/RFQ documentation; identify and develop pricing requirements and strategy with the Bid & Proposal team.

Facilitate pricing strategy discussions with Capture Managers and Solution Architects to determine customer specific requirements and expectations.

Perform job-related duties as assigned including ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support Bid & Proposal team.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 1-year analytical experience (interpretation of data and reporting results)

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the use of MS Office Applications with a strong focus on Excel modeling for analysis and data presentation, and PowerPoint for developing effective presentations.

Undergraduate degree in Business is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications

Advanced skills in Excel (i.e., lookups, sumifs, nested formulas).

Knowledge of the proposal lifecycle as well as contract types, including fixed-price, cost, T&M/FPLH, GSA Schedules, BPA/IDIQs; Commercial and State & Local a plus.

Understanding solicitation pricing requirements and evaluation criteria.

Concepts of Cost vs. Price and Direct vs. Indirect rate structures.

Ability to accurately develop and maintain pricing models, summarize data, and perform peer validation / auditing functions.

General knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other contractual regulations relating to proposal pricing a plus.

Ability to identify many commonly used regulations and explain their relevancy to bids and pricing in general.

Strong communication skills

Strong analytical skills to identify and analyze cost factors for proposals

Strong organization, time management and creative problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
