Network/Cybersecurity Manager - Fortinet

SUMMARY: A publicly held Houston Headquartered company is seeking an experienced Network Manager with strong Fortinet background and cybersecurity understanding to oversee the company's data security, network access and backups systems and ensure its smooth operation. The Network Manager will be responsible for managing other security professionals, designing and implementing network solutions, and maintaining network security and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, excellent leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, implement, and maintain the company's security infrastructure

Assist on local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.

Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of network systems and services.

Monitor network traffic and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.

Perform security analytics and threat intelligence to detect and mitigate threats Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.

Stay up-to-date on emerging threats and technologies to continually enhance network security posture.

Evaluate and select vendors for network hardware, software, and services.

Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and escalations.

Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.

Generate regular reports on network performance, uptime, and security incidents for management review.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

3+ years of hands on Fortinet experience

3+ years with Google Chronicle

Preferred Fortinet Certified Professional certification (but not required.)

Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration or engineering roles.

Proven experience managing enterprise-level networks in a complex IT environment.

Experience working with and managing interactions and network issues with external data centers

Strong experience network troubleshooting and ability to review logs and diagnose solutions for issues.

Strong Citrix background and overall network and cloud solutions experience

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Industry certifications such as CISSP and CISM are preferred
