Your New Role:

Join an industry-leading organization in Columbus, GA. As the Accounting Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring financial integrity and efficiency. You will process accounts payable invoices, maintain vendor information, and prepare accounts receivable invoices. Additionally, you'll handle payroll processing, manage mortgage loans and escrow accounts, and oversee cash accounts and bank reconciliations. Your role will involve initiating wire transfers and ACH transactions, providing documentation for funding activities, and assisting with audit compliance and reporting. Your Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance

At least 3 years of full-charge bookkeeper experience

Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures in keeping with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Proficient in Microsoft Office products with extensive knowledge of Excel spreadsheets

Skill in establishing rapport with customers and partners across diverse races, religions, and cultural backgrounds

Comprehensive understanding of Federal, State, and local housing and community development initiatives

Demonstrate personal attributes of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the corporate mission
