Role / Department:

You will be responsible for managing the EMEA Client Reporting team, reporting to the Head of EMEA Investment Operations within Northern Trust Asset Management.

You will act as a subject me expert for client reporting needs including ongoing development of Sustainable Investing/ESG reporting needs.

You will interact with various business areas to improve processes/procedures and operational efficiencies, and to support new client or product requests.

Major Duties:

Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function.

Supports the development, execution and delivery of client reporting strategy.

Develop and deliver upon increasing client needs around SI/ESG reporting.

Provide technical and automated solutions for client reporting operating model.

Role is balanced between operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.

Leads and facilitates performance management and career development processes with staff., Makes decision for staffing and disciplinary actions and provides oversight to training to staff.

Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.

Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee engagement, teamwork and communication.

Manages day-to-day operations, monitor work distribution and ensure resources are used effectively both within and across teams. Evaluates opportunities to improve processes and procedures to ensure optimal productivity and quality of output, and deliver internal and external client satisfaction. Liaise with relevant partners to implement change.

Adapts the team structure as needed to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Ensures appropriate documented procedures and controls exist to comply to mitigate key person and reputational risk.

Ensures an effective oversight function exists for off-shored activities.

Skills / Knowledge

Strong leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set

Good understanding of SI/ESG investments

Good understanding of industry best practice around client reporting

Solid technical skills and a mindset to improve processes

In-depth functional / industry knowledge is required

Experience:

A number of years management experience within a client reporting function

Familiarity with SI/ESG reporting frameworks and metrics is required

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required.
