SALES REPRESENTATIVE- FOOD & BEVERAGE
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Representative - Food & Beverage role is responsible for discovering and
supportingprojects across the food & beverage industry/ segment. Asignificant portion of the work time for this position will comprise of networking, acting asa technical liaison, and project management actions to obtain new sales success. Anability to self-start with minimal supervision is a key element to this position.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Be the expert resource for product specificationsand all related support needs
Act as the food & beverage market expert for customers, partners, and colleagues
Individually (for marketing/ sales efforts), develop a personal course of action that
optimizes sales success when working discovered and existing project opportunities
Develop a pipeline of qualified personal business-to-business sales opportunities (short
term, mid-range, and long-term)
Working closely with stakeholders (i.e., customers, sales staff, engineering, procurement,
operations, etc.), understand and achieve all project needs and priorities
As the project manager for projects, manage each project effectively and
efficiently to successfully meet each milestone requirement
Conductpresentations and provide clarifications to customers and colleagues
(both in-person and digital)
Perform site visits as needed
Carry out and achieve all assigned goals, including other duties as required
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Experience in field sales; technical background (food & beverage background)
Entrepreneurial mindset within assigned parameters; comfortable with self-learning
Organized with strong time management and prioritization skills
Strong networking skills and abilities, including excellent verbal and written
communication skills suitable for diverse groups of people at all levels
Strong presentation skills- both preparation and delivery for people of all levels
Agile to creatively pivot with constantly changing conditions
