Job Purpose

This role is to be the frontline sales person who is responsible for the obtaining new business for our Vehicle Refinishing division and the execution of agreed sales and profitability targets in a set territory in Ontario.

Compensation

Annual base Salary of $75,000.00 to $90,000.00

35% annual bonus based on personal and corporate performance

Vehicle Allowance of $800/monthly + KM reimbursement

3 weeks vacation + 5 personal/Sick days + company determined floater days.

Key Accountabilities

Sales:

Execute the duties of a full-time representative assigned to a sales territory.

Develop relevant Commercial pipeline for prospective accounts, manage the pipeline within the CRM.

Execute Account/Customer plans aligned with Regional/Global Segment & Marketing plan as applicable.

Deliver the agreed financial and non financial targets in line with business budgets.

Customer Support:

Insure appropriate action on customer service problems.

Manage complex customer complaints.

Keep customer updated of pertinent information and “cutting edge” technologies.

Sees that all orders and other customer communications are promptly and accurately handled.

Work with customer on cost improvement opportunities.

Proactively prevents and solves problems of a technical nature occurring at existing customers.

Communication & Training:

Establish and maintains top level contact with the management of existing and potential customers.

Communicate account activities to Sales Manager on a routine basis.

Delivers training to customers on the use and application of the company products.

Attend seminars and trade shows as determined by Sales Manager, Sales Director and, on occasion, travel with customer to view new technologies.

Level of autonomy (decision making and independent judgement)

Ability to work independently.

Capable of identifying strategic clients/projects/owners and motivating business to support clients.

Set own travel schedule, determine best timing of sales calls per account. Develop presentations for conferences and meetings, coordinate and recommend pricing.

Develop coating specifications, reports and surveys.

All the above within the bounds of the functional and operational guidelines of the business.

Requirements

Previous experience in sales, customer service or marketing function.

Coating industry experience, preferably vehicle refinishing related or relevant body shop experience.

Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, email, sending reports, etc.

Must be able to spend long hours driving; standing or walking for long periods of time

Communication Skills: With effective interpersonal and presentation skills, the successful candidate must have the ability to write or verbally deliver correspondence professionally and effectively to all levels of management, peer group and customers

Dedicated and committed safety leadership and presence and the ability to wear all required personal protective equipment in customer’s site

Ability to travel over 50-70% of the time locally. Overnight travel on average 2 to 8 days a month.
