Description:

Arbor Associates, a leader in the human service staffing industry for over 40 years, is seeking applicants in the Human Services field, living in Worcester and its surrounding towns, who are interested and have experience working in an Adult Rehabilitation program. The candidate will be working with individuals who have been diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities, including autism, who thrive in a structured environment. Staff will help to build skills, improve functionality, facilitate independent living, and develop self-management skills. This position comprises a Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM consistent, fully on-site schedule.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day operations working in a variety of settings for individuals with (developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, brain injury, autism, etc.)

Provide a safe living environment for all individuals in our care

Responsible for all documentation related to program operations in an organized and timely manner

Participate in daily shift duties which also include engaging in activities, housekeeping to ensure a clean environment, and meal preparation

Plan and coordinate activities/learning topics for the day

Classroom setting

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements:

A related field as a residential counselor, mental health worker, caregiver, personal care assistant (PCA), home health aide (HHA), direct support professional (DSP), certified nurse assistant (CNA), BT, patient care technician (PCT), Case Worker, or similar position (Must be able to travel to surrounding towns)

CPR and First Aid Certification

Reliable transportation

Passion for helping others

High School diploma or GED
