Description:

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Course Delivery:** Design and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for undergraduate students enrolled in computer science and information technology courses. Develop course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional resources, to facilitate student learning and achievement of learning outcomes.

2. **Curriculum Development:** Contribute to the development and enhancement of the computer science and information technology curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry standards, academic guidelines, and emerging trends. Integrate relevant programming languages, technologies, and applications into course content to prepare students for careers in the field.

3. **Student Engagement:** Foster an interactive and collaborative learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving among students. Provide hands-on experience and real-world examples to enhance students' understanding and application of computer science concepts and principles.

4. **Assessment and Feedback:** Design and administer assessments, including examinations, assignments, projects, and practical exercises, to evaluate student understanding and proficiency in computer science topics. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance, progress, and areas for improvement.

5. **Programming Support:** Offer additional support and guidance to students in learning programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and software development methodologies. Conduct coding workshops, code review sessions, and programming contests to reinforce learning and enhance students' coding skills.

6. **Research and Scholarship:** Engage in scholarly activities and research in the field of computer science and information technology, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and innovation. Disseminate research findings through publications, presentations, and participation in academic conferences.

7. **Professional Development:** Stay current with developments in the field of computer science and information technology, including emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies. Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and conferences to enhance teaching effectiveness, subject matter expertise, and instructional innovation.

8. **Service and Collaboration:** Contribute to the academic community through participation in departmental meetings, committees, and institutional initiatives. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum review, assessment, accreditation, and other academic endeavors to promote continuous improvement and excellence.

**Qualifications:**

1. A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

2. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level, preferably in a degree college or higher education setting. Demonstrated excellence in teaching effectiveness, student engagement, and curriculum development.

3. Strong expertise in computer science principles, programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and software development methodologies. Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, or others is required.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

5. Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems for course delivery, content management, and student interaction. Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools for blended or hybrid learning modalities is desirable.
